Geez who runs this blog anyway.
In the next few weeks there are more "Dark Arts" postings coming. Two concerning defensive driving, an interesting application for extension cord use, and a study on human anatomy and how the body dies from trauma.
Another related but untitled as such post to the "Dark Arts" series is understanding and deciding on equipment when bugging out....realistically and very practically speaking.
Farther on out past that I am working on a year long gun study project called "one year-one rifle: The .357 Magnum Lever Action".
As always thanks for reading Straight Forward in a Crooked World.
And remember if the bad men come be their worst nightmare.

Looking forward to your continued discourse and insight stemming from the real world. Thank you for your time and effort!
Looking forward to it, Matthew. We'll keep checking in. Do what you gotta do.
Hurry back!
I've also got a Marlin 1894C in 357. Great little gun!
Look forward to reading your thoughts again Matthew, whenever you're ready.
Looking forward to the upcoming posts as always. Will be particularly interested in the levergun post. My only levergun is a .30-30, though I've always lusted after a levergun and sixgun in matching cartridges. :)
Can hardly wait for the updates :)
Casey

I'm not Anonymous, but I sure love my 1894C too!
I love my Winchester 1894 .357 and my .45 cal saddle gun. Waiting patiently
All excited and anticipating your latest. Odd how such a blog can capture the thought of a person not in the slighest bit interested and turn her into a click frequently and hope for a new post. So I wait. Thanks for the heads up.
I too am looking forward to the Rifle info as I have a Rossi .357 rifle and I love it. I think it has the potential for being a very useful self defense gun and all around useful gun.
I have missed your posts!
Right... I'll beleive it when I see it!!!
As someone with extensive experience in the subject matter, I am looking forward to your treatise on trauma.
re: trauma - a former RN girlfriend told me that many blunt trauma victims, especially those involved in falls and vehicular accidents perish when their aorta is literally ripped away.
re: lever-action .357 - at a local range a fellow shooter let me put some .38spl through his old Rossi levergun - fun, accurate and powerful!
Like Tom Petty sang, "the waiting is the hardest part".
Waiting patiently.......
not so soon, apparently.
looking forward to your upcoming lever gun post. I've been keeping my eye open for one myself. Autoloaders are allright, but a repeater isn't as temper-mental about loads.
heh. wv: "menwater" what the???
Looking forward to the defensive driving posts
Just found your blog.
Looking forward to more!
Good grief hurry up, would you?
Sheepdog business must be good
