The Rifle over the Hashtag.

Photo: Local Borno village women's group repels Boko Haram attack on their communities - See more at: http://goo.gl/nqbk8n

How the women of Nigeria are beginning to respond to the Boko Haram.

A hashtag hold's no power. It is a sanctimonious chant that words can save people. Yet, as many people around the world, who have been left at the hands of bad men and terrorist know, that "help" is only a bureaucracy and months of paper work away. Therefore the rifle does indeed matter and may still turn the tide in the war against evil.

"the rifle has no moral stature, since it has no will of it's own. Naturally it may be used by evil men with evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

Thank Jeebuz they're armed with AKs! If they were carrying ARs, those would be DANGEROUS!

I am reminded of a photo I saw years ago in National Geographic.
What? Tactical info in National Geo? Well, sort off.

At the time the Shining Path Freedom Fighters (AKA terrorist) were attacking schools in the back country or Peru or Chile. National Geo had a pictures of three women school teachers holding bold action rifle and the caption indicated all attacks have stopped.

It's a lesson that people can't seem to learn.

AR/M16 is a tool of male capitalist white American oppression. Therefore it is bad.

AK is symbol of worker's struggle against capitalist oppression and against American aggression. Thus, AK is good. Please to ignore how many aggression and oppression come from Communist side.

But I really don't care what gun is used when a woman fights back against actual male aggression & oppression. And Valeria Solanas doesn't count.
