Cowboy Ethics

In his book Cowboy Ethics James P. Owen points out how in these tough financial times the financial institutions could learn a lot from the ethical standard of the American Cowboy, not as a corporate body but for each individual working together to make honest and straight forward choices, and maybe most of all to do good.

It goes like this:

Live Each Day with Courage

Take Pride in Your Work

Always Finish What You Start

Do What Has to Be Done

Be Tough, But Fair

When You make A Promise, Keep It

Ride For the Brand

Talk Less and Say More

Remember that Somethings Aren't For Sale

Know Where to Draw the Line

In truth we all could apply this to our individual lives and get a more harmonious outcome despite the money or lack of it that comes along with it.
